Notations On Our World (Special Edition): On the US Election Scene




Former Vice President Biden, the Presumptive Democratic Party Nominee for President of the United States, chose US Senator Kamala Harris of California as the Vice Presidential Nominee Yesterday.   Senator Harris is a First Generation American who was raised by a Single Mother of Indian Descent and whose father was from Jamaica.   

As the news broke of her appointment, the Trump Campaign had some reaction and our team complied the following as the supporters (including MoveOn, JStreet and others) came out in support:

The Prime Minister of Lebanon has resigned as protests continue.   Hassan Diab admitted the corruption and the ineptitude in his final speech as the future of Lebanon is murky--especially as in our view Hezbollah will not go quietly.  Al Jazeera's Marwan Bishara underscored it:

Notations On Our World (Special Sunday Edition): ; #Lebanon

 As we went to press, protests were continuing in Lebanon in the aftermath of the horrific explosion that left an estimated 300,000 homeless, 5,000 injured and over 150 people dead at last count.   A number of ministries were attacked and taken over by protesters as the Lebanese Prime Minister said that he would introduce a bill Monday to call for early Elections--as we salute Lebanon, we are confident that Lebanon will rise again like the Phoenix not withstanding all the odds stacked against it:
