Notations On Our World (W-End Edition): Out & About During #LifeInTheTimeOfCorona

As we went to press with this Week_End edition of Notations, The WHO reported a total of 461.275 new cases in the United States with over 16,000 Americans who had died due to COVID-19.   It is clear, in our view, that the peak is continuing as underscored by a worldwide tally of over 86,000 cases being reported so far.   We also saw reporting from India that the Indian Prime Minister has agreed to extend the nationwide lock-down in India.

It is Easter Week-End and President Trump had noted that he wanted the Country opened up by Easter Week-End.    There is a pending announcement Tuesday about the launch of a Council to plan the opening up of the Economy next Month as losses continue to mount.  In the United States, Vice President Pence asked Americans not to attend Easter Services and Observe Social Distancing Guidelines.    We view it as significant in light of certain US Governors--Greg Abbott in Texas and Ron DeSantis in Florida--having designated Churches as Essential Workers.

We wanted to close out these Notations with some Reflections from the Commander of Katrina & some reflections on a reality check on the reporting on Corona Virus:

We here at the Daily Outsider  will only assess the latest out of the WHO, the CDC , our own California State Health Department and our Orange County Department of Health--We will follow the Science as we deplore all who have shared conspiracy theories

We implore all to #StayHome, #StaySafe, Practice #SocialDistancing as we leave all with this From St. Mother Teresa on this Easter Week-End:

Thank you to all the Heroes at the forefront of this fight as we wish all
a #HappyEaster.
