Notations On Our World (Week-End Edition): On #Iran, #Israel, #Hope & Darkness

On Iran and Its' Role in the Middle East and How the People Arose

Iranian Environmentalists Sentenced to Prison

Quite a week has passed in our World as the impeachment hearings against President Trump concluded in the House of Representatives.   The Nationwide Protests in Iran did not garner as much coverage as the Government claimed that it put down the uprising in over 100 cities--and as leading Environmental Activists were sentenced after having been detained for over 21 Months without charge.   Meanwhile, Israel indicted its' sitting Prime Minister--and the Prime Minister rejected the indictment as a witch hunt.

We here at the Daily Outsider pay tribute to all who came out on the Streets in Iran and extend a profound heartfelt condolence  to the families of all who have lost their lives.    We also wanted to close out with a tribute to another brave soul who has dared to challenge Vladimir Putin, Alexei Navalny as we commend the Financial Times for sitting down with him:

Notations On Our World: On the #BlueGirl; #Israel, #Iran & Other Thoughts

“We’re living in a story-based world. We’re hard-wired to process things through the lens of stories which are linear narratives.” — Neal Stephenson

Our team decided to feature this courtesy of the Team at Mission because we view our Mission as to tell a story and to do what we can to make a difference.

To this end, we have been assessing the state of affairs in Israel as another election took place and as we went to press, the current Prime Minister of Israel enticed the former Chief of Staff, Benny Gantz, to form a Unity Government.   We have also been assessing the aftermath of the attack on Saudi Arabia's Oil Facilities.  President Trump noted that the United States can defend Saudi Arabia--but Saudi Arabia has to reimburse the United States.

In the meantime, it is the dawn of the annual UN General Assembly as we saw reports on how Iran has become a bit more challenging to tame while the United States has increased the pressure as visas for President Rouhani and Foreign Minister Zarif was yet to be issued:

We also have been paying tribute to the case of the Blue Girl in Iran.  She was a young 17-year old fan of Soccer (Football) and she set herself ablaze--tributes were on-going and our team had the pleasure to join in honoring her--this is as Iran's State Broadcaster brought the Father on who claimed her child was mentally ill:

Our team will continue its' ongoing assessment as we look forward to the engagements over the ensuing weeks.

Notations On Our World (Special Weekly Edition): On #Brexit; @realDonaldTrump, #Dorian & #Guns

It has been quite a weekend in our World as the UK Prime Minister lost his parliamentary majority as a member of the Conservative Party defected to the Liberal Democrats--the dramatic scene as Phillip Lee crossed over to the Liberal Democratic Benches was quite a scene as the UK Prime Minster was making a statement on the G7 to the British House of Commons.     There is a debate going on as we went to press on a move to stop a no-deal Brexit--here is an update on the latest link as our Live Broadcast POD featuring SkyNews will also have the latest.   The US Vice President came out in support of Boris Johnson during a visit to Ireland.    This is as Italy averted an election as the Five Star Movement struck an agreement with the Center-Left.

President Trump has also had quite a month as well on Twitter with his latest attack lobbed against the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.       Susan Glasser of the New Yorker captured it that we received through our Nuzzel Feed:

The New Yorker – Susan B. Glasser – Sep 3, 6:28 AM
President Trump ended August as he began it, with a blast of angry tweets, ad-hominem insults, and bizarre fulminations that have become so standard that they no longer receive the attention they deserve—emanating, as they do, from the…

We have also been on the prowl on Hurricane Dorian as it wrecked havoc on Barbados and continues to set its' sight on Florida--here is the latest as we also understand that Disney is due to shut down its' parks within the next couple of hours.   We have also been assessing the on-going drama of the elections in Israel with 16 days to go as the Polls continue to be as tight as ever with former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman the apparent Kingmaker.     The on-going challenges with Iran is also a focus of ours as Iranian Factions continue to fight it out.     Our Twitter Team will continue to assess it on an on-going basis.

As we went to press here, though, this very crucial development was received here in our Virtual Newsroom courtesy of the team at the Washington Examiner as Walmart made a crucial decision in the aftermath of the latest shootings in Texas.   We believe that t will be a a bottom up approach to stem the tide of Gun Violence:
A Walmart store is seen.

Walmart announced Tuesday it will end the sale of handgun ammunition, a decision that comes as the retail giant faced pressure to curb gun and ammunition sales in the wake of a shooting at its store in El Paso, Texas.
In an open letter to Walmart associates, CEO Doug McMillon said that the store plans to discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition and no longer sell handgun ammunition. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer will also no longer sell handguns at its stores in Alaska, marking a complete exit from the handgun market.

Never a dull moment in our World.....

Notations From the Grid (Mid-Week Edition): Out & About in our World

A potential meeting between Iran's Rouhani and US President Donald Trump has been the talk of the town over the past few days.    One headline in Iran showed how President Trump went it alone as another headline noted how Iran's Supreme Leader noted how negotiations with the United States is "poison".   For now, both sides have backed off from any meetings in the near future especially as the UN General Assembly is before us.  Israel seems to apparently be left in the cold though based on reporting from Haaretz.

The New York Times' Peter Baker Tweet on the reality was quite telling on how the G7 has lost relevancy as President Trump trashed a former President and was a fervent advocate for Russia to be returned to the fold of the G7:

As we went to press with this mid-week edition of "Notations",  @Kaltoons released this which provided a sense of the true realities of the State of the Trump Presidency:

Notations From the Grid (Special W-End Edition): On @POTUS Watch W-End

It has been quite a week in the United States as the Debate over Immigration got heated and the United States Got a jolt in light of recession fears--Some of the discourse on this as the #TrumpRecession was trending was noted below:

On the Foreign Policy Front, The President of the United States urged Israel to bar the entry of two sitting members of Congress.  The US Ambassador to Israel expressed support for the move and Senior Members of the House Congressional Leadership including Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana expressed support for the move--in spite of the fact that Israel had agreed one month before to grant them visas which was welcomed by the US House Democratic Leader and the US Republican Leader which will undermine the Israeli stance on bi-partisanship.     What is also of note is how as Aaron David Miller noted that the BDS movement was given a gift.

Our team complied a note on the reactions to the move by the Government of Israel that the Deputy Foreign Minister called Moral:

The Deficit continued to grow as noted by the Washington  Times:

The federal budget deficit hit $867 billion for the first 10 months of the fiscal year the Treasury Department reported Monday.
The deficit, which represents the difference between spending and revenues, is set to exceed $1 trillion for the current fiscal year. The deficit for fiscal year 2018 was $779 billion, which was the largest shortfall since 2012.

The Congressional Budget Office came out with its' long-term Budget outlook as well:
