We also wanted to congratulate the New York Times and join in the condemnation as Saudi Arabia and its' Satellite States have attempted to silence Al Jazeera as we urge Qatar not to give in to bullying. Update: We have received reports that Qatar has been given a list of demands by Saudi Arabia and its' satellites. Here is the excerpts as reported by Al Jazeera:
5:30am - Qatar's neighbours issue list of demands
Kuwait has reportedly given Qatar a list of demands from Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations that includes shutting down Al Jazeera and cutting diplomatic ties to Iran.
That's according to a list obtained by The Associated Press news agency from one of the countries involved in the dispute. The document says Qatar has 10 days to comply with all demands.
The list says Doha must immediately close Turkey's military base in Qatar and end military cooperation with the country. It also demands an unspecified sum of compensation from Qatar.
It calls for cutting Diplomatic ties with Iran AND closing down Al Jazeera. What our team found laughable was asking for compensation. It will be interesting to see how Qatar reacts.
